Our Company
Plenary Publishing was founded in 2008 to focus on developing and publishing
high-quality multicultural literature. We believe in the power and depth of the
American cultural experience, and we are committed to sharing diverse
perspectives. Ultimately, we seek to enhance the perception of people of color
and to arm minority communities with the information and inspiration that will
birth dreams and change lives.
Our company will publish adult fiction and non-fiction in many genres and
across several formats, including hardcover, trade paperback, e-book and
audio book. We will also release children and juvenile books and products that
enhance the educational development of children of color. Plenary will begin to
publish in February 2010, and gradually expand our list as we partner with our
generation's literary talent.
Our Mission
Plenary's mission is threefold:
(1) To develop and publish books that depict the depth and beauty of the
American cultural experience;
(2) To develop and support authors of color and expose them to mainstream
markets; and
(3) To inspire our readers to dream (and believe) big and actively improve their
lifestyles.
